The Tanner Center

In a world wracked by hostility and violence, the Tanner Center is dedicated to providing University of Utah students and faculty with the inspiration and education needed to become advocates for peace, nonviolence, and human rights. The center seeks to provide avenues for the open discussion of important issues dividing the community, the nation, and the world.

STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

Working closely with area, national, and international organizations, the Center sponsors practical internships and opportunities for study abroad.

Current partners include the Hinckley Institute of Politics, the Lowell Bennion Service Learning Center, University/Neighborhood Partners, Chamade/Perspectives on Prejudice, U.S. - Mexico Border Studies Programs, the UN Human Rights Council (Geneva), the Worldwide Organization for Women (Geneva), and several NGOs in India.
We are also developing a multi-faceted agreement with the University for Peace, in Costa Rica, that will include student and faculty opportunities.

Both graduate and undergraduate internships are available.
